Here at ABC Day Nursery we provide the children with a family mealtime experience. Our dinning room is a cheerful, welcoming space, filled with the sounds of little voices and laughter! The room feels safe and nurturing, where every little one can sit down and feel at ease while they eat. The children get to build upon their independence, self serving lunch choices, clearing their dishes, and using the mirrors to check their hands and faces are all clean! This is a very rewarding opportunity for all the children to have social time, discussing their learning, sharing news or just simply enjoying each others company at their own pace. In our dinning area we also have a quite area where your child can read some books, build puzzle's, and create some lovely drawings. 

A nursery's policy for setting the table ensures that meals are served in a safe, hygienic, and child-friendly environment. The tables are arranged to accommodate the children comfortably, with enough space for each child to sit safely and eat. Child-sized plates, bowls, and utensils are used to promote independence and ensure safety. Each child is provided with a placemat to help keep their eating area clean and to encourage good table manners. All food items are cut into appropriate sizes to prevent choking hazards, and cups with spill-proof lids are provided to reduce mess. Staff members are responsible for making sure the table is wiped down before and after each meal, maintaining cleanliness and reducing the risk of contamination. A calm and organized approach is taken to promote good eating habits and social interaction, with staff modeling appropriate behavior at mealtime. Additionally, special care is taken to accommodate any dietary restrictions or allergies, ensuring that every child has a safe and enjoyable mealtime experience.
